Launch Vehicles

SpaceLoft (Operational)

We provide access to the space environment on board our in-house developed and proven launch platform called the SpaceLoft. The SpaceLoft flights have demonstrated micro-gravity times in excess of 3 minutes for our standard mission carrying 36 kg to a altitude of 120 km.  SpaceLoft is capable of achieving 5 minutes of micro-gravity time for smaller sized payloads. The SpaceLoft program can provide a wide range of payload integration services and missions types.  Typical payload integration services include: power options, command functions, and environmental testing to meet your specific payload mission requirements. All missions flown from Spaceport America include on-land recovery.

Custom Configurations Include:

  • Payload separation (see past missions SL-10, SL-12)

  • Custom front ends for Hypersonic testing

  • 2 stage configuration for Mach 6 re-entry environments

  • Space environment propulsion test bed

  • Telemetry and GPS signal

Spyder Sub-Orbital (SSO) (In Development)

Spyder sub-orbital is a 17.25 inch diameter single stage sounding rocket capable of reaching altitudes of 400 km and speeds in excess of Mach 7. Variants of this vehicle include 2 and 3 stages for increased altitudes, micro-gravity time, and ascent Mach numbers.

Custom Configurations Include:

  • Payload separation (see past missions SL-10, SL-12)

  • Custom front ends for Hypersonic testing

  • 2 stage configuration for Mach 10+ re-entry environments

  • Space environment propulsion test bed

  • Telemetry and GPS signal
